I've known companies to have their legitimate sales increase (while their fraud rate remained static or decreased) simply by disabling the VBV callouts. From what I understand the entire industry is fed up with it.

That I can believe. I don't know what the Visa executives were on when they came up with the design but it's not something I want. I will walk away from a sale if VBV is enabled and I have alternatives.
