It turns out that Cuba have a lot more oil than it thought it did*. A good place to invade, particularly if you're a Democrat President - much closer and more convenient than Iraq, and with a proven track record on hosting weapons of mass destruction. Why wait?
* If confirmed, it puts Cuba's reserves on par with those of the US and into the world's top 20.
Of course, before I run out and invest in Cuban oil, I might consider the source: The Cuban government claims it may have a 20 billion barrel reserve, as reported by the Guardian.
I wonder how much of that reserve is located under Venezuela ?
