This chart in the BBC News report that England player numbers at new low caught my eye. The BBC notes that Arsenal had the lowest number of English starters, averaging 0.34 per match, while West Ham had the highest number, with 6.61.
But more striking is what they miss - the big difference between Arsenal and the next lowest teams (Liverpool and Fulham at 2.34 and 2.42 respectively). I estimate that it means that only 1 in 3 Arsenal teams had any English players in. Arsenal are made of foreigners. Maybe that's why the Queen supports them.
