While clearing out my clothes cupboard, I checked the pockets of various things. In the two suits I'm going to get rid of I found a pan scrub (useful) and an old ã5 note (more useful). Merely old, in that it has George Stephenson, rather than really old (Duke of Wellington), but still, not legal tender any more. I wonder whether I should take it to the Bank of England, to take them up on that "I promise to pay the bearer..." or just deposit it at my bank.
In the pockets of some trousers, I found a container with some .5mm leads for propelling pencils. Some more leads - I think I've found 2 other mostly full packs already. I guess I should buy a new .5mm propelling pencil to use them up.
