I note that all the wastebins have been removed from the trains and the stations. It looks like we're back in the eighties.

One of my memories from my time in London in the early nineties (Bishopsgate bombing through to Docklands bombing) was the complete absence of litter bins everywhere. It struck me as sad that a generation of young people would grow up thinking it was quite alright to drop your burger wrapper in the street.
