After paying my credit card bill at the bank this lunchtime I took a slight detour back, walking along the Regent's Canal from Camden Town to Angel. The most curious thing I saw were a pair of workers removing graffiti from the walls roughly midway along my route. Nothing special about that (sadly). Except that they'd not arrived by road. Instead, they were working out of a small, purpose-fitted narrowboat moored up by the towpath.
In other shipping news, on the way to the underground station this morning I saw the fire rescue boat and one of the inshore life boats together, stationary, underneath Hammersmith bridge, blue lights flashing. I wonder what had happened, but it can't have been good.
