This report about a man being being prosecuted more serverly for hitting a tree than killing a person demonstrates something that annoys me about UK law, and it's not the reason that they state there.
In the UK it is an offence to "cause death by dangerous driving". This is wrong. I think that we should abolish this law. We have a perfectly good law to deal with this. It's manslaughter.
