On 29th August, I have handed over the Config::Merge to Clinton Gormley (CPAN ID: DRTECH). Someday, Clinton talked about his new module,
Config::Loader, in Chatter Box, PerlMonks. I wrote Config::Merge years ago and haven't got a good time to update it. In the CB, Clinton mentioned about Config::Merge as the ideal name for his module. So I offered him the Config::Merge namespace. He took the offer and few days later asked me to transfer the maintainership.
I made this decision because I think Clinton's module does the better job. He has a clear idea about how to manage application's configuration files. It also handles various types of configuration. I'm glad to do this, and wish Clinton all the good luck in his effort.
