Using Cannon dragged from their Victory at Ft.Ticonderoga, the rebels drove the British Army and Fleet from Boston. Suffolk County, Massachusetts keeps the day the actual Evacuation started, 3/17, as a government & school holiday. For some reason, many folks are doing things with green beer and clovers -- but for me it's a local history holiday.
