So, last night, I arrive at the Crows Nest on the Maasdam around 11:30pm (my usual arrival time on most any night of a Geek Cruise) to find Linus Torvalds waiting there with a bunch of the other conference attendees. Apparently, the story of my "robot dancing" two nights earlier was now legendary, and the man himself (and his wife) wanted to see.
No, I did not ever imagine being put in a position where I would have to dance for a computer legend.
After a few drinks, and a request change of music, I was on the center of the dance floor, surrounded by geeks of various shapes and sizes, all urging me on with their applause. I did not disappoint. Fun.
