In Oz

I flew into Sydney around 27 hours ago. Yesterday, I did the Bridge Climb, which was fantastic. I was brought to the bridge just in time for my climb by a NSW SES high-speed emergency boat racing through the harbor, adding a whole level of coolness to the experience. (Think "Baywatch", but without all the silicone implants, and replaced by a Ozzie "westie".)

Thanks to Andrew Hennell for arranging the boat ride, and providing me a place to crash for the past two days (and the wonderful conversations on nearly every subject).

In a few hours, I climb into Yet Another Plane and head to Melbourne, for the 10th annual SAGE-AU conference. This is my second appearance at the conference. I'm lecturing on web-related topics, object-oriented programming, and if all goes well I'll also be repeating my Just another convicted Perl hacker talk for the ozzies.

That, and drinking far too much beer.
