sans YAPC, part deux

merlyn on 2005-06-28T22:21:23

This is the second year in a row that I've been unable to attend YAPC (last year because of timing, this year because of choice of venue).

I miss it. I sincerely hope that the YAPC 2006 organizers will choose a time and location for which I can attend.

{sigh}

i was hoping to have you sign the Perls of Wisdom book.

we had a great time tonight. iirc, damian conway's book was bid for $2000 (or $1500?). Uri is a great host for the aution too.

as i read in brian d foy 's journal, $1500 is for damian's book.

Note to YAPC organizers. You suck. Next year, make sure your people 'get with' my people and schedule the bloody conference when I can fit it into my busy schedule. Are we clear?

Eww. I hope that isn't how it sounded. I meant it as "I hope it works out", not "please make it work out", except in the grand sense. {grin}

2002

You weren't there in 2002, either, much to my disappointment.

brian d foy represented Stonehenge well

The people who attended brian's introduction to Perl got a bargain! He's a gifted speaker.

You might want to put a couple of streaming video samples on the Stonehenge site.
