In light of Statico's recent recipe posting, I thought'd I'd present one of my favorite recipes: Soup with Crackers.
Ingredients:
- One bowl of soup, heated
- Four to Eight Crackers, preferably Saltines
Directions:
- Order the bowl of soup
- Wait for it to be delivered to your table
- Take each cracker, drop it into the soup
- Push the cracker below the surface of the soup with your spoon
- Wait a few minutes, until the crackers start to soften
- Enjoy!
Serves one. As a tasty alternative, crumble before you drop them into the soup!
Noted ... and added to Pugs VICTUALS file

I got lost at step four, and now the soup is cold.
Which cracker do I push below the surface?
How about Chinese style?

Another alternative I used to do,
1. Go to my favorite Chinese restaurant
2. Order Chicken Corn Soup or Thai Soup (Chinese style)
3. Order Wonton *
4. Pick a Wonton and crumble the crispy bits in the soup.
5. The trick is - before the crispy bits that just fell in the soup goes too soft, you devour it!
My style was not to let the crumblings become too soft. Kind of like semi-soft so I can still hear the crisp in my mouth!
* What is Wonton?
The wonton, translated "swallowing clouds", originated in China. Wonton dough is made from flour and water and shaped into thin 2-inch squares. This dough can be folded in various ways before cooking and it is often filled with ingredients such as meats, cheese, and vegetables. Wontons can be cooked by steaming, boiling, or frying in hot oil.
