I'm using the newly available high-quality Bitstream Vera Fonts. The monospaced font is nice because it has very distinct letters even for similar characters (the zero has a dot in the middle, for example). The serif font is nice for my web browser.
I still prefer Andale Mono

Andale Mono also has the dots in the zeroes. I feel it's a cleaner looking mono-spaced font. YMMV, of course.
It's available for Linux, as well.

I've been playing around with using the monospaced version as my font in Terminal.app. For the most part it's great --compact, clean and clear-- but the one obvious quirk is the underscore character, which is spider-web thin and leads me to think that my filenames are spaced out instead of merely underscored. Jury's still out on whether it'll replace Courier. (Monaco died after it started creating long pauses when communing with vim; some very strange interaction going on there...)
