Somebody got away with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of diamonds in the processing and holding facility in Antwerp.
Some suggest it might be an inside job.
I dunno, but if the Shane Company starts advertising "a fresh new shipment direct from our buyer in Antwerp", I'd be worried.

is outdated. It's (almost) a single point of failure in the diamonds trade network. It still exists because eveyone is used to find it convenient. I'm quite sure that if the diamonds were to be treated in many centers, it would be easier to trace them, and life would be more difficult for money launderers. Analogy with internet routing helps to figure that out.
