This year I promised my family that I'd hang out with them more at OSCON. Last year I spent every moment (except for BOFs) at the conference. Ironically, I ended up complaining about how bored I was at times, which my wife had to listen to after complaining how much work it was watching the kids.
So this year I punted the tutorials, and spent Day 2 at the San Diego Zoo. All went well, except the youngest barfed next to the tapirs. We think she was just joking around, gargling her water loudly to make her sister laugh, but gagged and heaved up her lunch.
We got back in time to hear the State of the Onion. I wasn't expecting much, given how recent the last Apocalypse was. I was right.
