Jeez, I haven't written an entry in a long time. Let's see...

I moved my office and it took a while to get back on the net.

Management foo: starting up a new office floor, process, process, where are the office supplies?

The skunk: I found a dead skunk under the porch, buried under a wood pile. Stuffed the body into a plastic bag and tried to get the garbage men to take it. No way - they flung it back onto my driveway. After boxing it up and wrapping it up like a kilo of dope, I'll see if they take it today :-). You have no concept of how foul a dead skunk smells and how the smell permeates everything. Like Rick James says, "WE BUSTIN OUT ON SOME SERIOUS FUNK".

On the Perl front: XML::Twig, it's cool. Net::Jabber, gettin' the job done.

Me too: Going to OSCON again! Family meal badges - bite me! Like I normally spend $400 feeding 3 people in 5 days.

Aren't those meal ticket prices INSANE!

I don't care how much the caterers are charging ORA for the meal tent, but $20 per meal means it's cheaper to eat in the hotel! Sorry gnat, but that's outrageous.

Yeah, why not sell tickets a la carte? I only need a few meals for my wife and kids. They are going to be running around most of the time I'm at the conference.

So I guess I'll stuff my O'Reilly backpack with food on the sly and take it back to my room. I'm sure that's what they want. :-)
