Still planning my route to Braga. I'm still tempted to go to surf school for the week before the conferance, and to make a proper break of it.
Thomson fly to Faro from coventry, and mytravellite and flybe fly to Faro from Birmingham.
Ryan air start flying to Porto on the 19th January, so the flights should be cheap, hopefully tax only if I time it right ( depends on the school holiday charge though )which is ã25.90, plus the 2p the free flights seem to cost, but Stansted is a beehatch and a half to get to.
I guess its looking like I either train it in Britain or train it in Portugal for a part of the journey.
The mail address yapc at perl-hackers dot net
forwards mail to the organizers (it will be publicly mentioned in the next report, on the mailing list, but it can already be used)
See you in Portugal

Braga isn't a coastal city, so I doubt it has a surf school:-)
I do believe that every Portuguese city with a beach has a couple of surf schools, but I can't say which ones are best... if you already know to which part of the country you're going, I can probably ask a couple of questions around...:-)
Meanwhile, I'll try to check on the cities that are closer to Braga.
