Why you need a designer to do it

I was kinda going for the butterfly taking fight w/ minimalisim, kinda to invoke the whole "late stage development", "maturing past pupa", "taking flight", "new, and yet somewhat mature at the same time" ideas.

But its still pretty suck.

Wow!

Now that's freaking awesome!

it's not

daxim on 2009-09-01T09:36:50

I hope you are excited at the potential of the design proposal and not as it is now, because the kerning's off and the l's ascender has been artificially elongated way over its original height, resulting in bad typography for the important centrepiece.

I agree with kentnl's own assessment, but at least that's easily fixable. Kudos for bringing this idea into first concrete form!

Well, yes. Not as is. Surely it is just a concept and requires change, but as you said, the potential is what excites me :)

I hope you read the last sentence of his post? :-)

Disagree

Oh no, that's not suck. That's really really good actually. Really good.

I don't get it

What am I looking at... some weirdly shaped triangles with legs?

Butterflies seen from the side, one landed on the logotype, one flying.

Took me a moment too.

That is actually quite pretty...

But I don't get it, why does it have to be a butterfly? Does it have a special meaning, or is it merely pretty?

As you can see, people are already fighting over the use of the butterfly as a logo.

Why not, for example, a shrimp?
