These days, a never-seen-before boom to blog on use Perl; is brought to Japanese Perl hackers, so I take on them and also start blogging about Perl-related topics here.

When I saw your handle, that's the first thing I thought of ... I love the set w/ the shamisen!

Welcome aboard! (^_^)

Thanks a lot for the first comment!

Well, I've heard there is a DJ called DJ Kentaro, Kentaro is also a name for me, but not been familiar with him. Instead I'm mainly interested in pop music like Beck, Jim O'rourke and bunch of musicians in Hello! Product.

I love them so much that I created and maintain such a module named Acme::MorningMusume. You can see it on CPAN.

That is Hello! Project, not Hello! Project. Just a typo...

I thought of one of the winners of the last Amazing Race reality show series, who made a documentary called "Kentaro walks Japan."

It means "golden-haired boy," right? Or am I wrong?

I think the video you mentioned is "K*i*ntaro Walks Japan" not "K*e*ntaro walks Japan" ;)

As you said, K*i*ntaro may be named after his appearance. "kin" means gold and "taro" is a name generally for male. So Kintaro means "golden-haired boy".
