Attended all the MySQL given for the day. Listened to Monty from MySQL AB, and once the universal translator synced up to his accent, all was well. He presented MySQL in an incredible light - why MySQL is what it is today and where they are planning for it to go in the future... They ( MySQL AB team } really showed their engineering talent, and that explains why MySQL is an excellent RDBMS... Oh, the Vodka candy was outstanding!!
Moved on to MySQL backup. Stuff you should do, but probably don't. Great insight on what to do and how to determine what your DBA SHOULD be doing....
Attended the quickly posted CVS howto, but had to leave part way through. Went over the basics....
Sat in on the Perl Lightening Talks, but left part way through. Usual antics but some good info. Long list of speakers.
Once again, great food at lunch! They've outdone themselves this year on the grub....
