I've started working on pVoice 2.0 seriously now. Kevin Lenzo provided me with a binary distribution of Festival for Win32, so I can start experimenting with it. Normally I would have tried to make it work on Linux first, but since my most important user uses Windows 98 I think it's wise to concentrate on that platform first. This will be the first project I'm programming where I won't concentrate on the platform independency, which is something I find very important normally. When 2.0 is ready, I'll try to make it work on Linux. It'd be nice if that worked, but everyone who has shown interest in pVoice so far uses Windows :/.
Of course I will no longer use Tk for the graphical user interface, but switch to wxPerl which has a new version out btw.
