Yes, finally, 14 months after the release of pVoice 2.0 I was able to release pVoice 2.1.

Thanks to the many translators who responded to my call for Translations it is now available in Dutch, English (both by me), Simplified and Traditional Chinese (by Autrijus Tang and Jedi Lin), German, Spanish (both by Alex Schmitz), Turkish (by Engin Yuruker and Tolga Ozden), Brazilian Portuguese (by Alceu Rodrigues de Freitas Junior), French (by Briac Pilpré), Croatian (by Mickey Groeneweg), Italian (by the Nordest Perl Mongers), Swedish (by Claes Jacobsson and Christian Hansen), Danish (by Dennis Haney), Norwegian Bokmal (by Marcus Ramberg) and Russian (by Vadim Konovalov).

It has a revamped graphical design (by ngMedia), and has -for the first time- been tested on all 32-bit Windows client platforms. In case anyone wonders what goes on under the hood, it uses the following modules:

Wx
AAC::Pvoice
Device::ParallelPort
File::Find
Win32::OLE
Win32::SAPI4
Win32::MSAgent
Locale::Maketext
Locale::Maketext::Lexicon
Locale::Country
Locale::Language

PAR 0.81 is used to compile the whole thing into a standalone executable, and InnoSetup/ISTool version 4.2.2 is used to create a nice installer. I use Komodo as my development environment, poEdit for editing the messages catalogs, UltraEdit for editing of non-perl files, and -last but not least- ActiveState Perl 5.8.3.

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone
