Again not exactly last night, but still in line with my previous journal entry.
After upgrading Firefox to version 3, that was actually done almost last night, since I am not the most avantgarde on these things.
The plugin I had installed to detect the system proxy settings on OS X, no longer worked, but a quick search revealed a similar plugin. I am not sure it is the same implementation as I have used previsiously, since I gather Firefox would have updated it as part of the installation, reinitialization phase.
I found what I needed via a link from some bloggers entry.
So with a new plugin to automatically detect system proxy settings, I am now back on track.
Firefox is really nice, even version 3 and the plugins seem to become better and better and there seem to be plugins to solve anything.
Recommendations on Firefox plugins are most welcome.
