Evil

Apparently I am evil, everyday when I come home from work my son shouts

THE EVIL ONES ARE COMING and then he beats me with a sword and run of before I can do anything about it.

The worst attacks is when he is bit slow, so I have the time to bend down to untie my shoes, this mean that my back and head are totally open, when the engagement takes place.

I am considering bringing a shield with me to work.

At least he does'nt ask mummy "Who is that strange man?"

Lets clarify, I do NOT hit my kid, he hits me.

I only hit him when I am handed sword and shield and is challenged to a tournament, then the odds are more even since we are both armed, even though he often is on horseback.

sounds healthy

I assume this is nerf/boffer "sword" not sharp steel. :-) I would have preferred this approach to the Hobbes-like flying tackle I endured for a few years. Sounds like a young squire who would have fit my daughter's sci-fi con ratpack a decade back. Are you raising him in the SCA or SF-fandom ?

If you do not mind me asking - what is SCA?

SCA = Society_for_Creative_Anachronism , not a reenactment group so much as sci fi fandom with the dates rolling backwards. Muchly found in college towns and tech centres, but elsewhere also.

Ah thanks,

Well knights are in and my oldest son was dressed up as a knight for fastelavn (local festival), my youngest son as a bumble bee. We do however also play with Lego Exo-Force, which is more sci-fi, so I guess we go for everything fun and enjoyable.
