I walked by a sandwich shop the other day. I could not help noticing a big hand written sign on the door.
The sign said (translated from Danish): 'We are closed. Our refrigerator has gone down'
I found this quite amusing, since this term seems to be used by more and more by people for everyday things.
Yes, microchips, computers and operating systems seem do seem find their way into more and more appliances, but people also people seems to put up with the excuse that; the system is currently down, but a refrigerator.
