I am really starting to enjoy using RSS. It seems less messy that the mailbox and the information I get in RSS in via do not necessarily require some sort of action on my side.
My company Subversion server is hosted in Germany and the hosters provide magnificent service, such as RSS feed of commits etc.
For the Workflow project on SourceForge I would really like this feature, so I could see when other developers had done something, but it does not look as if SourceForge offers this particular RSS feed.
I wrote to the perl-workflow-devel mailing list and another subscriber came with the solution.
- set up a mailinglist at SourceForge
- set up a hook at SourceForge, which uses the mailing list
- set up a mailing list archive at gmane
- use the gmane provided RSS feed
