As I have written earlier the Copenhagen Perl Mongers have long wanted to host a YAPC::Europe convention.
Due to circumstances like fatherhood, increased workload and Copenhagen Perl Mongers in general being busy, lazy, sexy. I had practically given up on applying for 2008.
Yesterday I received some encouragements from different sources, so I worked on our proposal all night. Just as I was to fill in some statistics and data, I lost my network connection.
So now I have a first draft for an application. I have just mailed this to the Copenhagen Perl Mongers for feedback and I expect to finish it tonight, so I will be able to mail it to the YAPC::Europe foundation tomorrow.
I have written the YAPC::Europe committee and requested acceptance of our late application.
