When I started working in this new gig I was provided with a Window machine, account and email address. I have now started getting mail from a lot of people with whom I have no project or task-related relations.
This is ok... I can delete these after skimming through them
But some of them inquire that I indicate whether I have read their mail. I can ignore this and perhaps just make it go away. But some of these people seem to take this really serious, so I have started to indicate that I have read their mail eventhough this is not really true.
I feel the assimilation has begun again, eventhough I am attempting to fight it off.
