The night belongs to... cron

I was sitting inside all day working (danish national holiday) on a delivery for a client. The sun was out and the weather was really, really nice, so I went out to play with my son.

After dinner and putting the kids to bed I continued. Really, really late I was done and I connected to the clients SCM and wanted to check in my work.

The database was down, for what I expect was backup.

Conclusion, the day belongs to work and the night belongs to cron. Ok the system is probably not running cron, but I find it fun that you can refer to scheduled jobs as cron jobs, no matter what platform they are running on.

This is the second 4th. time this year I work really late, I must admit I enjoy it, but the mornings are tough, no matter how you look at it, the boys get up at around 6 am. So all nighters are nice, but have to be kept at an absolute minimum, since I get grumpy and I guess it is better to let the nights belong to cron,
