Fell over this job ad from http://jobs.perl.org.
The weather here in Denmark is boring, it is cold, dark and windy - so Italy would be a nice change - and you just have to be willing to learn Italian, the only problem is the clear telco connection, I have worked in telco for quite some time and would much rather like to be in a job where the primary business is software development,
The problem with being in telco as I have experienced it, is that software development is not always understood and or taken seriously, and for project management it is often attempted to map existing project methods on to software development and in my opinion there is a long way from deploying networks and telco products to developing software.
So I guess I stay put.
Quite a few of the Florence (Firenze) Perl Mongers work for that company, you can ask them directly what they think of it.
