Weird use of hyperlinks or?

I read this article on Dr. Dobbs about a modeling tool being made freely available, please see the following snippet from the article:

Modeler is available for download from Telelogic's Web site. Telelogic will also make an upgraded version available for $100 per user, minimum quantity 100 users.

I found it somewhat weird that the download link did not take me to the download, but instead explained the term download - so I actually had to click the neighboring link.

That is just bad form. 30 lashes with a wet noodle for the person that did that.

Agreed. Assuming a legitimate context in which you couldn't make "download" link to the download, making the word "available" a link to the download *might* be acceptable.
