Dear Software Santa

I am an iTunes user, but I guess this feature wish could be interesting for all MP3 player apps.

Sometimes an album is mixed in such a way that two songs overlap or the CD is cut in such a bad way that when one songs cut start, you hear the end of another song - most annoying when you listen to songs in random order, so...

What would be nice would be an ability to chain two or more songs together, so the continuity of the listening experience is kept intact.

Hal: Yes, Dave?
Dave: What about Perl?
Hal: Something is happening.
Dave: What is happening to Perl Hal?
Hal: Something wonderful.

Winamp Gapless Playback

Winamp has Gapless Playback - I wonder what's so hard about making it (at least for mp3 files) ... Wikipedia tells of gapless playback problems with hardware players and I understand that it can be problematic when playing audio CDs directly because the CD laser has stepping problems, but for mp3 software it shouldn't be much of a problem to my naive mind.

Huhs? It's already there

Maybe I'm missing something, but:

  1. Select the songs that make up the album;
  2. Right-click (or CTRL-Click) and Get Info;
  3. Select the Options tab;
  4. Enable the Part of a gapless album option
