YAY! Last night I shipped my first delivery of a software package, which I normally build on a windows machine, from a virtual machine on my MacBook Pro.
I have installed Windows XP under Parallels and added different components, like Perl and Perl modules such as Inline and PAR. I Configured VPN and SourceOffSite, got the lastest code from VSS... worked for a few hours making some fixes, tested, built and released and everything just worked perfectly.
So now I can avoid this old laptop I only keep around for that particular assignment and things actually run both faster and where I need it.
Parallels is actually useful for work and not just showing of...
And this mean that the next time I am leaving for Växjö I only have to bring one machine
