Co(de|nf)-a-thon coming up

jonasbn on 2006-02-01T13:24:50

We plan to have a new code-a-thon in the Copenhagen Perl Mongers, our homepage is suffering, so we came up with this preliminary list and it looks a lot more like a Conf-a-thon :)

  • os install (FreeBSD? 6?)
  • web server install (apache? 2?)
  • blog software install (wordpress?)
  • wiki software install (kwiki?)
  • calender software (code?)/install
  • auth integration with bitcard ?
  • svn server install + migration of existing repos?

Good to see that there is so much good and usable software available.

Suggestions for other interesting things are more than welcome...

Kwiki

I've seen some nasty edge cases exposed with Kwiki migrations.

As much as I dislike PHP, Mediawiki does a great a job and I can't avoid recommending it over its competition.

The other requirements look very cool to me. When do you plan to integrate them all?

I use MediaWiki myself and I must admit that I am impressed with it. But anyway a Wiki is a wIkI (or WiKi) and actually I am one of the suckers who bought the book - what a mistake :-/
