I spent all afternoon moving my accounting from Excel to SQL-Ledger. SQL-Ledger is written in Perl and I use it with Postgresql.
So I have big plans for exploiting this is the future.
Another thing is my accounts actually balance, my only problem is that I invoices out for around 6800 euros :-(
SO IF YOU OWE ME MONEY AND READ THIS - PLZ PAY - THANK YOU
A comment to my journal by merlyn made me think that using software written in a language you are using is good, hence you can fix bugs, exploit features in the the software more easily - so using SQL-Ledger instead of M$ Excel seems a good idea.
A journal entry made by RJBS, where he mentions a comment by pudge on replacing payware with freeware, which also seem very reasonable.
