Some days I hate computers other days I love them. In an attempt to fix my problems with Safari and my WLAN I have been surfing the web intensively.
I came to the conclusion I should upgrade my APs firmware it would fix some problems and a serious security hole.
So I did - and ever since nothing has been working :-/
So today after a busy - but good day at work, I decided to get it working so Ii searched again, using google again and there it was. An article stating that after firmware upgrades your Linksys AP can behave weird, you just have to reset it using the hardware reset for 10-15 seconds.
So I did, I reconfigured, since the AP disappeared from my LAN - and now I am back online with 128 bit WEP encryption - WOHOO!
I guess patience and persistance are good virtues too.
I am writing this from the safari browser and everything seems to be working fine, even my sister is back online using my AP (she lives two floors down).
