Our manager told us today that if did have anything todo we should go home at normal time (17:00). Tomorrow at 17:00 we will be starting our final launch of a project, which has been running for more than a year. The migration and launch will be running for the whole weekend, but anyway I am looking forward to finishing the project. Working the whole weekend is not fun though, I think I will bring my laptop - there will probably be lots of idle time.
These last few days I have been given the responsibility of the cronjobs and 'weird' external scripts and sub-systems. It is ok, I got to do some Perl, but it is quite difficult to finish since I do no have root access to the production environment and I do not have the right permissions to install the stuff necessary.
So I can look forward to a long evening installing the scripts together with somebody with access.
BTW: I do NOT like VSS, it is both awkward to use and annoying
