Tasks

Yesterday I had two tasks, one of them a Perl task I was looking very much forward to doing, the other a longer running thing involving VB.NET and PL/SQL (postponed due my VB.NET course).

And as life always seem to be - unfair the latter of course had the highest priority. So I started to look into the task, and all of a sudden it was obvious that a workaround was necessary, something smart and fast to insert some data into the Oracle because the VB.NET and PL/SQL part would not be release to the production system just yet.

Well the task all of a sudden morphed into a Perl task, so after a few hours of programming (and mostly waiting for the correct data) I could make my first run with this small Perl program and alot of people got happy.

So today I can look forward to hacking some Perl or the task I was looking forward to.

WROOOOOOONG

New orders, the test-team is stuck with some problem which acquire attention immidiately.

heh - do you see a pattern?
