I fell over the Perl entry (in danish) in the free danish Linux book, *The freedom to Program', which by the way is a marvellous initiative.
Well I just have to say, that is the saddest advocacy on Perl I have ever read. It describes Perl as both primitive, in does not touch the diversity of Perl and the whole concept of there is more than one way to do it.
When I am done with the flyer text (in danish) about Perl I am preparring for LF2003 I think I will submit it to the editor of the book.
It would be magnificent to write a book in Perl programming in the context of the 'Freedom to ...' category, since there both is a Java and a C book, but as I have said before, people who use computers in Denmark normally can read english and translation like tasks are a waste of energy.
The books are a marvellous initiative, but could to with a better Perl description.
