Actually you get the same result if you are in France. Italy is fine though, provided you are over 18 (and yes, if you were born in 1987 they ask you for your birth date).

:-) Italy will not participate in Kiev 2005"At the same time the Italian broadcaster RAI has refused to participate due to the high costs of organizing the Eurovision Song Contest in case of a victory".It would be uncharitable to say that they needn't worry about winning.
Anyway, Italy has its own "international" song contest: Sanremo!
