I just moved to a new town and am looking for new people to do things with. I have to now find a new running group, drinking buddies, etc. Sometime in the not so distant past I remembered hearing about meetup.com and figured that I'd give it a whirl. There were some pretty neat groups organizing on the site, but there also seemed to be an exodus now that meetup is charging for organizing meetups. The only alternative that I could find was MEETin, which is a lack-luster attempt at replacing meetup. Are there any better sites out there... other than the obvious PM.org?
