don't know how long the perl.org one has been out of service, but backpan.cpan.org still works if you're looking for something.

I only noticed because backpan.perl.org is the link used in the CPAN indexes...wonder why they're not using backpan.cpan.org instead?...

backpan.perl.org was lost when perl.org had their disk problems, or at least Robrt was looking for a mirror to get a copy from.

Of course, the current problem might be unrelated, since it's been over a week.
