I'm a geek. I shop online. I never Christmas shop in real life hardly any more. I fail to understand why people still by crap at Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City, etc.
Last week I ordered a new Panasonic 42" plasma tv from Amazon for $1349 w/ free shipping. That's already $200 cheaper than the local Sham Buy, and even cheaper the non-Christmas season sale prices. The days before I bought it, it was $1299, then went up. I fugured it would slowly creap back up to $1500. Last night it was back down to $1299.
So, having heard about the Amazon "30 day price drop" policy that they don't advertise, I asked them for a $50 refund...and got it.
Try that in a retail store. Why do people shop at those any more again? Seems like more and more they're a rip off, either in markup, or in service plans. Go figure.
