My upstairs landlord's Windows ME computer is dying through the abuse of several years of AOL, a teenager, and strange software. I tried to reinstall AOL for them off of a CD but got all kinds of dll and whatever errors.
Of course they lost their re-imaging CD. No wait, the teenager did. She probably pitched it years ago when it didn't have any music on it.
So now... Linux for them I guess. Maybe Hewlett Packard will send them a CD if they ask nicely.
