I'm wishing outloud on p5p that all the perlcc and bytecode stuff will die a quiet death. People who should be using PAR and pperl find these non-working things instead of the right tools. It's annoying for them to get told their selected tool doesn't work and that they should go use some other thing instead.
I'd rather it just not be there instead of being crappy.

The porters have heard Joshua's Lament, and there's no real dissension over the matter. The main issue is that traditionally it should be deprecated for a full release cycle.
But I suspect the chain-saws will win.
