Web-based email systems should include a "download message" link that gives you the original mail with full headers. I realize Yahoo and Hotmail would never do that because their services are free, but my ISP could do it.

I never got IMP working. It just wouldn't log in to my IMAP server. It was damned difficult to set up, to boot.Eventually, somebody pointed out squirrelmail to me, which works well, and was simpler to configure.
Unfortunately, although it has the "download message" option, it doesn't give you the complete header. You have to click on a separate link to get that.
