MP3 player software

What's a good open source Windows Media Player replacement for playing MP3s? These are talk radio broadcasts rather than music, and I'm not interested in any special features built in to "organize my MP3 collection," because my actual music collection is small and static.

At one time there was WinAmp, but I don't think that was open source, and I think it was killed as a project, anyway.

  • WinAmp is still around but it's not open source.
  • VLC media player (GNU GPL) runs on a multitude of platforms including the many flavors of Windows.
  • Media Player Classic (GNU GPL) runs on most flavors of Windows.
I'm sure there are more but these are ones that I'm aware of. I prefer WinAmp for music and VLC for videos. *shrug*
