sourceforge?

Today my personal CVSROOT which I have maintained since 2003 got picked up and merged into the big group CVSROOT. So I'm testing everything to make sure it works, and after a bit of trouble I confirm that I can access the new cvsroot locally on its new machine, and I can access it from our primary server, and then I tried to confirm that I can get to it from my PC. I use Cygwin extensively, and so I'm using Cygwin's CVS. And the weird thing is ... cvs is timing out and telling me that it can't connect to cvs.sourceforge.net. I wonder why. There's no sourceforge.net in my CVSROOT variable, and there's no sourceforge.net in the cvs.exe executable (I checked). What's going on?

CVS/Root

have you checked all of your working copy's CVS/ directories' "Root" files?

Well, I was actually pulling something brand new, from within my home directory where there was no CVS directory. But I suppose some kind of bug might be causing it to dip into something I checked out from sourceforge.
