Sci-fi becomes reality. Or am I being taken for a ride?

The new age...

This is probably how the real world Terminator will arise. He'll learn to talk, then walk, then think, then we're toast, man!

PRISM!

Infocom games are where my love affair with fiction started. (Well, I'm not countin the full collection of Peanuts I had between ages 5-10. ;D ) Now that I think of it, I guess they're technically the reason I was interested for any great length of time in computers when I was much younger, as well.

Interactive fiction in general has its own subculture these days...sadly, Michael Berlyn's most recent effort, Cascade Mountain Publishing, died terribly. Interactive fiction is becoming something that nobody can seem to make any money at, but people still spend a huge amount of time perfecting their technique at.

It sounds like a shoe-in for academia. Let's start an MFA program!
